WHAT IS THE DUAL LANGUAGE PROGRAM?

In dual language programs, children are taught literacy and academic content in two languages.

PROGRAM GOALS

Bilingualism: High levels of proficiency in English and a second language.

Biliteracy: High levels of academic proficiency in English and a second language.

Multicultural Competence: Understanding of different cultures and development of high self-esteem.

En los programas de lenguaje dual, se les enseña a los niños la alfabetización y el contenido académico en dos idiomas.

Alfabetización bilingüe: Los altos niveles de competencia académica en inglés y una segunda lengua.
