School Site Council

The School Site Council's (SSC) primary task is to ensure that the school is continually engaged in identifying and implementing curriculum and instructional best practices that result in both strengthening the core academic program and ensuring that students have access to and success in that program.  The SSC has the task of developing a school plan for using the supplemental resources to increase student understanding of and success in learning the core curriculum.  Making effective decisions means ensuring that members have access to and training in the state curriculum frameworks and standards.  As the SSC develops the school's plan for improvement, it should consider focusing its strategies and resources on a limited number of curriculum areas at any one time.  This allows the school the opportunity to ensure that all its improvement efforts are coordinated and focused on achieving a common goal.  The SSC meets between 5-8 times per year.

 

La tarea fundamental del Concilio del Sitio Escolar (SSC) es asegurar que la escuela este continuamente comprometida a identificar e implementar currículo y las mejores prácticas instructivas que resulten en fortalecer el programa académico esencial y asegurar que los estudiantes tengan acceso a y éxito en ese programa.  El SSC tiene la tarea de desarrollar un plan escolar para el uso de los recursos suplementales para incrementar el entendimiento de y el éxito en el aprendizaje del currículo esencial.   Para poder hacer decisiones efectivas, los miembros tienen acceso a y entrenamiento en el Frameworks currículo del estado y los estándares.  Mientras el SSC desarrolla el plan escolar para el mejoramiento, deben considerar enfocar sus estrategias y recursos en una cantidad limitada de áreas del currículo en dado tiempo.  Esto le permite a la escuela la oportunidad de asegurar que todos sus esfuerzos de mejoramiento sean coordinados y enfocados en alcanzar una meta común.  El SSC se reúne de 5 a 8 veces al año.
