Dear Montebello Intermediate School Families,
Welcome to the 2023- 2024 academic school year! As your Principal, I am honored and grateful to be able to work with our staff, parents, and school community to empower students to achieve academic excellence. Our goal for the new school year is to provide opportunities for all our students to become model citizens who are effective communicators, collaborators, creators and
critical thinkers. As always, the safety, socio-emotional well-being, and academic success of all our MOI Eagles is our top priority.
I am excited to inform you that MOI will be offering the Amazon Future Engineer Program/Project STEM for the 2023-2024 school year! Additionally, as in previous years, we will continue to offer several outstanding programs for academics, enrichment and counseling such as GATE, AVID, the Youth Cinema Project, the Dual Immersion Academy, ASB, HOSA-JUMP, Computer Coding and the MOI Student Support Services.
As you all know, communication is key to student success; therefore, I encourage you to check our school website and our social media platforms often for school news and updates since these are our primary sources of information. Additionally, Blackboard phone messages, emails and text
messages will be sent regularly to all parents. Please make sure you create a Parent Portal Account in PowerSchool to monitor your child’s academic progress. The involvement of parents in their child’s education is indispensable, and as such, we highly value parents as our partners in
education. We are the Montebello Intermediate Eagles and our students will: Strive for success, Own their actions, Act with integrity and Respect for all!
